I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
