This incident resulted in the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
